Welcome

President's Message

Front of the Library

Welcome to our website. Whatever the circumstances for your discovery of this site, we are delighted that you stopped by. You see, we are a rather small group of Stanwood, Arlington, and Camano residents who are strong library advocates, supporters, and avid readers. We meet the second Tuesday of each month at the Stanwood Library Community Room at eleven in the morning. We occasionally sponsor evening events, as well. Our purpose is to promote awareness and use of the Stanwood Community Library, to encourage and accept gifts and memorials to the Library, to encourage public support for expansion of library facilities and programs, to provide improvements to the Library facilities and to provide educational and cultural experiences for members and the public. We are a diverse, hard working group and invite you to drop in to one of our meetings and check us out in person.

Our Mission

The Stanwood Camano Friends of the Library are residents of Stanwood, the surrounding Snohomish County area, and Camano Island, and are committed to the Friends Mission Statement:

“The purpose of the Stanwood Camano Friends of the Library is to promote awareness and use of the Stanwood Camano Community Library, to encourage and accept gifts and memorials to the Library, to encourage public support for the expansion of the Library facilities and programs, to provide for improvements to Library facilities, and to provide educational and cultural experiences for members and the public.”   Articles of Organization, revised July 28, 1997.
